Instructions for the ice rinks at the municipal beach

  • Open daily as of 9 am and close at 10 pm
  • Rink reserved for free skating
  • Rink reserved for hockey
    • Priority given to schools from Monday to Friday
    • Priority given to free skating on weekends in case of visitor overflow
  • Chalet is open
  • Constant monitoring of the premises to ensure compliance with Public Health directives (social distancing, wearing of mask indoors, family bubble, etc.)
  • Access to visitors is limited to parking lot capacity.  When it is full, the site will be closed until places become available.

While skating, please be careful.  Sometimes there are cracks in the ice on our outdoor rinks.  Also, for your safety, please do not venture outside of the ice path or the lake trail.

Weather permitting, the quality of the ice of the skating path on the lake is maintained by our Zamboni machine.

 

Skating Trail

With its beautiful lighting, you can enjoy the skating trail at Dorwin Falls Park day or night!

 

Equipment Rental
Delight in the joys of winter!  There is equipment available for rental at the beach chalet: tubes for sliding, « snowskates » and snowshoes. Free of charge for Rawdon residents.

Monday through Friday: 9 am to 10 pm (reserved for schools from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm) │Saturday and Sunday: 9 am to 10 pm
Holidays: December 24th and 25th: 10 am to 4 pm, December 26th to 30th: 10 am to 7 pm, December 31st and January 1st: 10 am to 4 pm
School holidays (pedagogical days, floating days and spring break): 10 am to 10 pm

Sliding
This natural slope is the perfect sliding hill.

 

Skating rinks
One skating rink is for hockey and the other for leisure skating.

A 1 km skating trail that is lit in the evening.

A groomed 13 km trail
Departure from the municipal beach (3304 8th Avenue) that takes you across the lake – depending on weather conditions, or from the Rawdon Golf Club (3999 Lakeshore Drive).

 

Tournée des Cantons
In collaboration with the Municipality of Rawdon, the Tournée des Cantons de Rawdon offers a network of ecoresponsible trails for non-motorized sports, such as cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking – developed by an NPO. The trails can be accessed, free of charge, from the parking lot of École Marie-Anne, 4567 Mont-Pontbriand Stree. Details here
