There are no municipal regulations regarding cats. However, they should not be a nuisance.
Community cats usually have learned to live outside or in warehouses, factories, abandoned buildings, sheds and under balconies. These cats are a bit fearful but rely on humans for food.
A committee of volunteers, in collaboration with the Municipality, has been created to raise money to set up a project to capture, sterilize, return and maintain these cats. The benefits of this project are numerous: the reproduction of stray cats decreases, the cat population is stabilized, the colonies of cats diminish over the years, the cats are less stressed, there is less wandering and less complaints, etc.
