All dogs on the territory of the Municipality of Rawdon must be registered.

 

2018 licence rate: $20 (available at Rawdon’s 2 pet shops and door-to-door sales by the SPCA Lanaudière Basses-Laurentides)

Why should your dog wear a tag?

  • In the blink of an eye, the dog can leave the property and be captured.  The tag identifies the animal and guarantees its return home by the Municipal Animal Control Department;
  • The annual cost is minimal as compared to the fees you would have to pay if your dog was caught by Animal Control (over $100);
  • Thanks to the tag, you have a guarantee that your dog will be returned to you, because 5 (five) days after being captured your dog becomes available for adoption and no longer belongs to you.
