Mobile Sterilization and Micro-chipping Clinic A first for the Matawinie RCM!

The Municipality of Rawdon is pleased to finally launch this pilot project of a mobile pet sterilization and micro-chipping clinic.

Between September 15th and 22nd, interested citizens must call 450 834-2596 ext. #7114, to make an appointment before coming to the Town Hall to pay the required fees.

This spay/neuter service is available to low-income pet owners.  The Municipality of Rawdon will offer a $20 discount to the first 50 residents who make an appointment. Micro-chipping is available to the entire population.

All the steps, from the payment to sterilization, will take place in compliance with the Public Health sanitary measures and guidelines in force at that time.


Micro-chipping  – $30  –  Available to the entire population

Sterilization – Available to low-income pet owners (Rawdon residents)*

    • Cat – male $85, female $105
    • Dog – male starting at $140, female starting ate $170 (depending on weight)

To qualify, your household income before taxes must be inferior to the amount indicated in the table, depending on the number of people in your family. To register, you must provide your federal income tax return as proof of income.

The Municipality of Rawdon would like to thank the caacQ (Centre d’Adoption d’Animaux de Compagnie du Québec) for the use of the mobile clinic, as well as the regional animal service for ensuring operations.

We would like to remind you that the mobile sterilization project was born of a committee of citizen volunteers, concerned about the welfare of pets and the consequences of overpopulation.
