Rawdon provides its population with a safe living environment. Police services are provided by the Sûreté du Québec, while fire and public safety are provided by the municipal team. Rawdon deploys the necessary efforts to protect its citizens from fires, all the while encouraging them to adopt safe practices.
For your family’s and your own well-being, it is important to carry out a self-inspection of the safety points in your home. By filling out the inspection form, you ensure effective fire prevention for you and your family.
Rawdon’s Fire Department is made up of more than 20 part-time firefighters and an internal on-call team at the station during the week.
In addition to the traditional role of firefighting and disaster response, the department’s role is to intervene, prevent, educate and advise the population on how to reduce fire risks, throughout Rawdon’s territory.

In the event of a disaster, rescue teams may be slow to arrive in your area. You are, therefore, ultimately responsible for your own safety. The best way to prepare is to make a family emergency plan.
It is also important to know what to do before, during and after an emergency or disaster.
