St-Patrick’s Day In Rawdon Celebrated With Humour!

This year, Rawdon invites you to remember the history of St-Patrick’s Day throughout the years! Since there can be no parade due to the late announcement of the easing of sanitary measures, leaving us little time to organize, we propose that our citizens celebrate spring with fun and laughter!

To mark this great event that celebrates the Irish origins of many members of our community, the Municipality offers up two funny videoclips featuring comedian Pascal Babin and sprinkled with a few historical references! We suggest that you watch them, with a green beer or whiskey in hand! The clips will be available on the Municipality’s Facebook page, as well as on YouTube on March 17th.

By the way, did you know that in 1824, 75% of the people living in Rawdon were of Irish origin. It is no wonder that St-Patrick’s Day is so popular here!

Please rest assured that the celebrations will be back next year, with great fanfare!
