Twenty Ukrainian families to visit Rawdon | The Municipality confirms its support for stays over the summer
The municipal council proudly announces its financial support for a project aimed at welcoming Ukrainian families to Rawdon this summer. In addition to the $6000 in financial support, Rawdon will offer them access to our sites and activities free of charge.
Mayor Raymond Rougeau is delighted to be able to make a tangible contribution to this project that will take place at Chalets Lanaudière, welcoming 24 Ukrainian families. Thus, 7 to 8 families will come to enjoy the facilities each week, between July 25th and August 14th. Mr. Rougeau also wishes to thank all of the organizers, especially Chalets Lanaudière de Rawdon.
Supervised by members of the Ukrainian community of Montreal, the families will have a chance to take a moment to rest and visit Rawdon’s many attractions.
Let us remember that Rawdon, strong through its diversity, is the largest municipality of the RCM of Matawinie, with 12,164 residents from 40 different cultural communities.
